Triangle Shawl Weaving: A Study in Wool & Deduction 2026

Location: St. Louis Community College - Meramec Campus, 11333 Big Bend Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122. Check in at Registration 15 minutes prior to class starting at PE Building for location.

Step into the role of a textile detective and uncover the secrets of triangle loom weaving, elementary, my dear weaver! In this hands-on class, you’ll receive a 3-foot Kiss Loom Triangle Weaving Loom to take home and learn how to expertly weave elegant triangle shawls worthy of a stroll down Baker Street.

Using powers of observation and deduction, you’ll unravel essential techniques including warping the loom, changing colors, seaming woven panels, and finishing with fringe. The triangle loom is perfectly suited for worsted-weight yarns and is remarkably versatile—once the mystery is solved, you can apply your newfound skills to scarves, cowls, shawls, and even blanket panels.

No prior weaving experience is required; even Watson would approve of how approachable this loom is. Should you decide after class that you’d like to upgrade to a larger loom, $90 of your class fee will be applied toward the upgraded purchase.

• Locker included in class fee

Additional Supplies Needed: 

• 100 yards heavier worsted weight yarn in 2 colors. Please have the yarn wound into a ball and ready to use.
• Scissors

• The class minimum is 5 students. If we are unable to fill these spots, we will cancel the class and provide a full refund.
