Class Time: Saturday, April 26, 2025, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM AND Sunday, April 27, 2025, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Lunch Breaks will be taken each day.

Location: St. Louis Community College - Meramec Campus, 11333 Big Bend Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122. Check in at Registration 15 minutes prior to class starting at PE Building for location.

Instructor: Robin Goatey of The Dancing Goats

Use the Viking Combs to prepare Picked Fleece, Dress a Distaff, then learn to Spin and Ply on the three primary European Low Whorl Spindles & use a Nostepinne to make center pull ball of yarn. 

Class discussion will focus on the works of British Historian John Peter Wild.

This class is a two (2) day workshop and includesa 1 hour break for lunch each day.

Skill Prerequisite: Beginner to Advanced Spinners.

Ages: High School, Adult

Supplies: Included in Class Cost

  • 1 Spindle Stick
  • Your Choice of Whorl
  • 1 Bowl
  • Heritage Sheep Spinning Fibers

Additional Supplies Needed: None.
