Are you interested in learning to spin or expand your spinning tool collection and practice with an expert? Join Robin Goatey, an ancient tool user and creator for our modern world! In this full day workshop, you will learn to use the Distaff to Spin & Ply Wool on the three primary European Low Whorl Spindle Forms.
- Ceramic Whorls of the Ancient Near East
- Pewter Whorls of the Roman/Celtic LaTene Cultures
- Soapstone Whorls of the far North Proto Viking Cultures
Demonstration and Practice with the Roman/Norse Style of Wool Combs will also be included in our time.
This class has a morning and afternoon session, taking a 1 hour break for lunch.
Skill Prerequisite: None.
