The Case of the Not-Quite-Woven Wonder 2026

Class Time: Saturday, April 25, 2026, 2:00 - 4:00 PM

Location: St. Louis Community College - Meramec Campus, 11333 Big Bend Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122. Check in at Registration 15 minutes prior to class starting at PE Building for location.

Room: Communication Building, Room 228

Join Q for a delightful bit of creative misdirection in this fast, fun, and highly satisfying make-and-take class. You’ll be guided step-by-step through a clever fiber technique that looks woven but isn’t. (Sshhh… it’s our little secret.) The result is a finished piece you’ll complete before you leave, and one that’s guaranteed to spark curiosity and admiration.

All tools and materials are included in the class fee, so you can simply show up ready to experiment. That said, if you have yarn you absolutely love and want to keep enjoying every day, feel free to bring it along—this project is a wonderful way to showcase special skeins, handspun yarn, or treasured leftovers.

This class is perfect for anyone who enjoys clever fiber tricks, quick wins, and the joy of learning something that feels just a bit like magic. No prior experience required—just curiosity, a willingness to try something new, and a promise not to reveal the secret too loudly.

After all, the best illusions are the ones made with yarn.

Skill Prerequisite: None. This class is excellent for beginners.

• The class minimum is 5 students. If we are unable to fill these spots, we will cancel the class and provide a full refund.
