Location: St. Louis Community College - Meramec Campus, 11333 Big Bend Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122. Check in at Registration 15 minutes prior to class starting at PE Building for location.

Mosaic knitting is a fantastic way to begin your journey into the world of colorwork, and this class is the perfect introduction! In this session, we’ll cover the basics of what mosaic knitting is, how to knit using this technique, and some essential tips to help you master it.

To get hands-on experience, we’ll work through the Pinus Cowl Pattern by SweaterFreak, which is designed to showcase the beauty and simplicity of mosaic colorwork. As we work through the pattern, you'll learn how to use two colors of yarn to create stunning, intricate designs without the complexity of traditional stranded colorwork.

This class is perfect for anyone looking to expand their knitting skill set and gain confidence with colorwork. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced knitter, you'll leave with a beautiful cowl and a solid understanding of the mosaic technique that you can apply to future projects.

Skill Prerequisite: Cast On, Knit, Purl, Yarn Over, Bind Off, Consistent stitches, and comfortable knitting in the round.

Additional Supplies Needed

• Two different DK weight yarn in contrasting colors
• Size 3.75mm (US 5) and 4.0mm (US 6) circular knitting needles on a 16 inch cable
