Knitting Fun with Thrummed Slippers

Class Time: Saturday, April 27, 2024, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Location: St. Louis Community College - Meramec Campus, 11333 Big Bend Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122. Check in at Registration 15 minutes prior to class starting at PE Building for location.

Thrummed slippers are some of the coziest things you can ever wear on your feet, with pieces of wool roving knit directly into the slipper. And because they’re knit with thicker yarn, they make a fairly quick. Your instructor will include white roving in the class cost, but you are welcome to bring in other colors.

Skill Prerequisite:

• Advanced beginner
• Cast On, Knit, Purl, Yarn Over, Bind Off
• Knitting in the Round

Ages: 13+

Supplies: Included in Class Cost: Roving

Additional Supplies Needed: 

• 6.00mm (US 10) Knitting Needles, straight or circular
• 100% Wool Yarn: 440 - 680 yards of Worsted Weight Yarn held double OR 220 - 340 Chunky Weight Yarn
