Discover the beauty of earth-derived clays and oxides as natural fabric dyes in this hands-on workshop. These mineral-based pigments create rich, vibrant colors that are highly resistant to fading—but achieving the best results requires careful preparation and technique.
In this class, you'll learn the full process of tinting fabric with clays and oxides, including:
✅ Pre-treating the fabric for optimal color absorption
✅ Dyeing techniques to ensure even, long-lasting color
✅ Finishing methods to enhance durability and vibrancy
Each participant will receive printed materials for reference and sample fabric to dye during class. By the end of the workshop, you'll have the knowledge and experience to confidently work with these unique, natural pigments in your own textile projects!
