Beginner Drop Spinning and Plying Techniques
Location: St. Louis Community College - Meramec Campus, 11333 Big Bend Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122. Check in at Registration 15 minutes prior to class starting at PE Building for location.

Learn how to spin your own yarn from natural fibers without the hassle and cost of a spinning wheel. In this class, we will learn the basics of drop spindles and wool and how to draft fibers and will spend a significant amount of time practicing how to spin on a drop spindle. We will also cover multiple plying techniques and how to finish your yarn.
All attendees will go home with handspun yarn that they have made and a handmade drop spindle.
